Working with a lot of families in hockey I know it's difficult to balance safety with fair play, this is a good change I think. - Josh

I think that the new regulation on the width of the goalie's leg pads being no more than 11 inches is ridiculous. Being a goalie with a pad width of 12 inches, I think that this rule forces both goalies and parents to rush around looking for pads an inch shorter and then they have to spend extra money on those pads. We already pay enough for hockey, and to spend another $400 or so for pads an inch narrower is ridiculous!!! - Matt Selvey

Read the proposed rule, it specifically references shoulder pad width and height maximums... - Better reader than team player...

I think standards on shoulder pads should be looked at as well as the exterior equipment...look at the goalies in junior and pro hockey they cover the entire net...its ridiculous. - team player
