The SHA Skills Development Camps are developed after the Hockey Canada Skills Development Camps. Providing players with an opportunity to enhance their fundamental skills in a positive, learning environment. The camp focuses on on-ice s The primary objective of the program is to provide a vehicle for players and coaches to enhance development of fundamental skills required to play the game of hockey. The SHA Skills Development Camps can be a 1-5 day event open to boys and girls playing in the Initiation to Midget divisions (5-17 years of age). This may vary in the occasional camp. Our goal is to ensure the players receive the necessary learning opportunities to further enhance their skill base through professional instruction while having FUN! Coach Specialty Clinic Training The SHA Skills Development Camp has the unique ability to provide theoretical and practical training for Coaches. The focus of this training will be Coaching Skills, Station Training, Off-ice Training (Multi-Sport Benefits), Time Management and Ice Utilization. SHA Development Coaches and Leaders will lead the Coach Specialty Clinic and where a Skills Camp follows, coaches are encouraged to participate in the on-ice and off-ice activities. The Coach Specialty Clinic Training is free of charge for all coaches and the clinics will be the evening before the SHA Skill Development camps.
